Chester Ultra Low Headroom Electric Hoist – Models ELM, ELG and ELP
These models are designed for those applications where headroom is limited. The units provide smooth, quiet trouble free operation in a variety of Class III applications. The units are equipped with the following features:
- Worm drive gear reducers
- Case hardened load chain
- Capacities from 1 through 25 tons.
- Choices of lug mounted, push/pull, hand geared or motorized trolley drives
- Standard features include 5 or 6 pocket load wheels
- Sturdy steel construction
- Direct acting motor brakes
- Standard controls include reversing contactors, 115V control transformers and terminal blocks in a Nema 12 enclosure.
- Paddle type and geared limit switches for both upper and lower hook travel.
- Standard voltage is 230/460 Volt, 3 phase.

Air Chain Hoist – Models ALP, ALG and ALM
Most Chester Electric Wire Rope or Electric Chain Hoists and Tractors can be equipped for air operation .The standard air package includes vane or piston motors and brakes with modulating valves for infinitely variable hoist motion. Single speed trolley or Tractor motion is standard using vane motors and our standard worm gear reducers. Standard controls include a two or four lever pendant. Chain hoists are supplied with limit valves for both up and down hook travel.

Twin Hook Electric Wire Rope Hoists
These hoists come in 5 different styles:
- Single Hook Standard Headroom Monorail
- Single Hook Low Headroom Monorail
- Twin Hook Monorail
- Twin Hook Floor and Ceiling Mounted
- Single Line Floor Mounted
Low headroom models are available in capacities from 1 to 7.5 tons and are specifically designed for applications requiring minimal hook to beam clearance. Floor and Ceiling Mounted Worm Drive hoists are used from a stationary position such as over a hatchway, a loading dock or in an auditorium. Single, twin hook or multiple hook models with hook spacing up to 40 feet are available.
Chester Trolley Suspended Twin Hook Wire Rope Hoists are designed with dual hooks for special handling applications requiring two point support. This style is ideal for lifting and transporting long loads or rolls.
Chester AM Army Type Hoist
Chester's Model AM Army Type Hoist is a light weight and versatile manual chain hoist. The beam mounted AM trolley hoist is compact and if fully integrated with the hoist. The design of the unit is rugged and is tested to the requirements of the ANSI B30.16 specification. Features include:
- Capacities from 1/4 to 5 tons
- Design factor of 4:1
- Steel gear and handwheel covers for impact resistance and durability
- Load chain is alloy steel and heat treated for strength and endurance
- Hooks are forged steel
- Trolley wheels are fully machined cast iron with precision ball bearings
