Why are Tool Assembly Systems Good for Business?

As an ergonomic company we focus on making life on the operator a little easier. A torque arm takes the reaction of air & electric powered screwdrivers, nut runners, tappers and hand drills and transfers it to the arm. Also, the arms support the weight of the tool, reducing the burden on the operator to constantly support a tool all day. On some of our higher end models, we have the option to provide downward force when the tool is activated. While the ergonomic benefits are obvious, the following production benefits can give you the ROI needed to justify the arms:

Production Benefits

Keeps the driver in alignment with fastener and work piece, eliminating cross threading, broken bits, screw head burrs and out of square fasteners.
As the tools are constantly secured, it keeps expensive tools from being dropped or misplaced.
Cycle time is reduced as the tooling is in a consistent location in the area.
Reduces damaged or burred driving screws with tools held on an angle and slipping off the screw head

Ingersoll Rand Torque Reaction Arms:

Ingersoll Rand QTA bench-mounted torque reaction arms are constructed of lightweight aluminum and are available in a variety of torque capacities, ranging from 10 to 150 newton metres. They include an Ingersoll Rand spring-loaded balancer to increase strength.

The IR QTA Bench Mounted Assembly Arm has the following features:

Tool Support Systems

Ergonomic Tool Arms by ETA come in several styles. The most common style are the arms for assembly. The standard torque arm comes with the ability to float the tool and reduce torque. ETA also provides an arm that can be mounted overhead.
