Our Ergonomic Partners team automated this molded cement handling and flashing trimming process; that increased worker safety, efficiency, and product consistency. This unique tool has a robust powder coated steel frame construction with pinch guard shield, zero gravity floating handle, grip/release with interlocking common button controls, flash chop controls with interlocking common button controls, proportional up/down controls with float mode, and uses UHMW (Delrin) guides that are specifically designed to precisely align, and lock fit into the cement molds valleys. A series of flat concave vacuum suction cups securely grip and lift the molds while the integrated automatic flashing trimmer ensures that the final product meets quality standards by removing the unwanted material. The tool features our gripper safety circuit and common buttons to prevent mid-air drops and is suspended from a Gorbel Easy Arm with the Gorbel G-Force smart hoist.

We designed and fabricated this custom vacuum tool to grip, lift, pivot, rotate, and pitch different size and orientation windows weighing up to 450-pounds. The tool features a steel and aluminum powder coated frame, dynamic leveling center of gravity suspension point system, vacuum grip indicator gauge, adjustable air saving vacuum cups, 90-degree vacuum cup rotation system, and vertical handlebar adjustment with 30 inches of travel. The left-hand controls include vacuum grip /release control handle with underside trigger for the handlebar vertical travel. The right-hand controls house the up / down handle with float mode, G-Force menu controls, handlebar vertical travel underside trigger, and thumb-controlled safety common button. In the center of the handlebar are controls for the momentary pitch and momentary center of gravity controls. The tool prevents operators from unintentionally dropping the windows in mid-air by using two anti-drop safety prevention systems. The first system is a common button used with the grip release controls and the second system is our gripper safety circuit that automatically senses the weight of the windows gripped by the tool.

We built and designed this custom manipulator arm with vacuum tool end effector to grip, lift, pitch, and rotate large vehicle roof liners. Our ergonomic solution provided our customer with reduced labor costs, improved safety, efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. The arm features: vertical limit stops, portable base with forklift pockets, leveling feet, 360-degree rotation with pneumatic brake on the mast, 330-degree rotation with pneumatic brake on the secondary arm, and 360-degree non-continuous rotation with friction brake on the end effector tool. The vacuum tool features up/down controls, grip/release controls with common button, 90-degree pitch control, 90-degree rotation control, arm/tool brake deadman trigger controls, and vacuum indicator gauge.

This vacuum lifting device was designed to grip, lift, and stack boxes up to 9-feet. The tool features an ergonomic 48-inch dual stage telescoping adjustable handle, four 150mm bellows vacuum cups, steel and aluminum powder coated frame, up/down-grip/release controls, vacuum grip gauge, and our custom Gripper Safety Circuit preventing the operator from dropping the boxes in mid-air. The tool is integrated with an Easy Arm intelligent jib crane allowing operators to easily position the boxes.

This custom vacuum grip and lift tool allows operators to move large Bus windshields. The tool features: three air saving vacuum cups, vacuum grip indicator gauge, dynamic leveling suspension point system, swappable and adjustable ergonomic soft grip handles with integrated up/down and float mode controls, interlocking grip/release controls with common button, center of gravity shift controls, and our gripper safety circuit to prevent accidental release of the windshields in midair. Our ergonomic team designed and built this custom vacuum tool to simultaneously grip and lift four 95-pound boxes for palletizing. The tool features a powder coated steel and aluminum frame, 16 vacuum cups (4 per box), Delrin vacuum cup alignment and locator guides, vacuum indicator gauge, ergonomic high/low handlebars with 18-inches of vertical travel, grip/release controls, proportional up/down controls, and float mode. The tool is integrated with a Gorbel Easy Arm and G-Force Smart Hoist using our gripper safety circuit to prevent accidental release of the boxes in mid-air.

Our team engineered, designed, and built this vacuum tool to grip, lift, and 180-degree rotate different size 225-pound electrical panels. The tool features a steel and aluminum powder coated frame, air saving vacuum pumps, vacuum grip gauge, extend and retract controls, with a momentary 3 position rotation switch, integrated two speed hoist up/down controls on the right handle and grip/release controls on the left handle. The tool is suspended from a Gorbel 2-speed hoist and uses our gripper safety circuit preventing accidental release of the panels in mid-air.

We built this tool for the Tier 1 Automotive industry. The unique feature of this tool is the missing operator controls. The tool does not have any buttons, levers, or switches for operation or control. The tool automatically senses the forces placed on it by the operators and once the weight is off the tool it will automatically adjust the vacuum cups and turn on the vacuum grip pressure for lifting the tote boxes. The tool features: air saving vacuum cups, force sensitive controls, zero gravity float mode, and a gripper safety circuit to prevent accidental release of the tote boxes in midair. The tool is integrated with a Gorbel Easy Arm articulating jib crane paired with the iQ2 smart lifting device from Gorbel.

Ergonomic Partners designed and installed this custom vacuum tube lifter solution for palletizing 55-pound 5-gallon buckets. The customer previously used five rotating operators per line, manually lifting, shrink wrapping, labeling, and palletizing. They experienced severe personnel turnover, work call-offs, operator injuries, and each line only achieved 40% to 60% capacity. Ergonomic Partners teams installed two Gorbel Workstation Jib Cranes with Anver Triple Pail Vacuum Handling Systems at the end of each conveyor line. An automatic photo eye controlled, pail positioning system at the end of each conveyor line separates, spins, orients the handles, aligns the product labels for clear reading from all four sides of the pallet, and positions the pails for consistent and easy palletizing by the vacuum lifting systems. Each line now only requires two operators for lifting, shrink wrapping, labeling, and palletizes the full system capacity of 1,430 pails per single shift. Operator injuries and call-off days are no longer an issue, and the palletizing production is completed in three days allowing the operators to be used elsewhere in the plant.

Our ergonomic team designed and built this custom tool to grip and lift large commercial refrigeration panels. The tool features a steel and aluminum powder coated frame, eight vacuum cups installed on four adjustable cup assemblies, an independent safety system for mid-air drop prevention using our gripper safety circuit, and ergonomic floating handlebars installed on a linear rodless vertical rail. The operator has grip/release controls, up/down controls, and liner rail toggle lever controls, and two independent vacuum grip indicators for each vacuum system circuit. The tool is suspended from a Harrington variable speed hoist and overhead crane.

Our Ergonomic Partners teams of engineers and fabricators designed and built this tool to grip, and 90-degree rotate two different parts using a quick interchangeable vacuum grip head. This tool is designed to grip large refrigeration cabinets with just a single suction cup. The tool uses an ergonomic high/low force sensing handle with no up/down controls allowing for smaller coolers to be lifted and placed into larger cabinets. This custom vacuum tool is designed for lifting different width refrigeration cabinets. Width adjustment of the suction cups uses a momentary switch integrated with a custom rack and pinion system. This vacuum grip tool lifts refrigeration panels from a conveyor, rotates the part 180 degrees, and then allows operators set them onto cabinets. This custom vacuum gripper tool builds large Gaylord boxes. The box builder tool features a steel and aluminum powder coated frame, floating handle, custom brakes for the articulating jib crane to prevent movement of the crane, pitches 90-degrees, rotates 180-degress, float mode, momentary proportional up/down controls and grip/release controls. The tool is integrated with a Gorbel Easy Arm and equipped with our Gripper Safety Circuit preventing operators from accidentally releasing the boxes in mid-air.

This vacuum lifting device was designed to grip, lift and stack pallets up to 8-feet. The tool features an ergonomic 36-inch dual stage telescoping adjustable handle, dual 700mm vacuum cups, steel and aluminum powder coated frame, up/down-grip/release controls, vacuum grip gauges, and our custom Gripper Safety Circuit preventing the operator from dropping the pallets in mid-air. The tool is integrated with an Easy Arm intelligent jib crane allowing operators to easily position the pallets.

With a maximum lifting capacity of 315 pounds this vacuum lifter automatically grips, lifts and precisely positions siding using optical sensors, limit switches, VFD’s and PLC’s. The three unique vacuum cups grip an entire layer of different dimension and shape siding. The vertical movement uses linear actuators with linear guides and rails to handle offset loads. The systems patented track crane uses, inverter duty motorized end trucks with encoder feedback controlled by variable frequency drives. The system has teachable controller with a PLC and can be programmed using the push button station.

We built this tool for the transportation industry to grip and lift bus windows. The tool features: air spring automatic adjusting air saving vacuum cups (allowing the tool to grip curved or flat windows), ergonomic floating handle with up/down and grip/release controls, vacuum gage, automatic center-of-gravity adjustment to keep the tool/windows level, zero gravity float mode, and a gripper safety circuit to prevent accidental release of the windows in midair. The tool is integrated with an articulating jib crane with a smart lifting device called the Easy Arm.

This vacuum tool grips, lifts, pitches, and rotates various size and weight aircraft parts. The tool features: individually movable vacuum cups, 90-degree pitch, rotation brake, automatic height adjusting vacuum cups and separate controls for shifting the center of gravity allowing tilt control of the parts. The vacuum tool is integrated with a Gorbel Easy Arm that has an intelligent hoist with "float mode" allowing the operator to set the parts in a zero-gravity mode. This custom vacuum tool is designed for lifting sheet metal used in manufacturing of electrical enclosures. The metal sheets have various sizes, material types, and can weigh up to 175 pounds. The tool features an air actuated guide rail system allowing operators to adjust the span of the vacuum cups, controlled using a momentary control lever on the handle. The customer was currently struggling to lift the awkward triple wall corrugated boxes. They were using two people to assist with the lifting and taping of the boxes. This allows one operator to perform the task faster while eliminating the risk of injury.

This vacuum lifting tool was designed for large flexible and porous boxes. The tool grips and rotates the boxes from horizontal to upright position which allows the boxes to placed into a vertical rack.

Suspended by a Gorbel Easy Arm this custom tool system lifts various types of fiberglass boat consoles. Our interchangeable quick disconnect end effector design allows this tool to lift consoles with a hook or vacuum cups. Custom 10 Cup Vacuum Lifter was designed to lift and rotate up to 300 pound sheets of plywood. The tool is supported from a VFD Lodestar Hoist and is powered by venturi vacuum. Due to the porous nature of the product several cups were needed in order to overcome the vacuum losses.

This tool is designed to lift up to 100 pound boxes from a conveyor and palletize them for shipment. Due to the random nature of the packaging, the vacuum cups are on a powered pneumatic adjustment.

We designed and built this vacuum lifter for installing skid steer windows. The lifter can be operated in zero gravity mode allowing the operator to position the windows by hand. The vacuum tool includes our custom Safety Circuit preventing the operator from accidentally pressing the release button and dropping the window in mid-air.

This custom material handling solution was developed for lifting 800-pound building panels. It features twin Rigid Column lifters with custom vacuum attachments suspended from a 2 Ton Overhead Bridge Crane. Tri-State Equipment Company was able to design and fabricate the whole material handling system in-house, with EP developing the vacuum tools and TSOC producing the bridge crane system. These two divisions of our company were able to work closely together during the development of this project, streamlining the production of this system and simplifying the process for the customer.
